Max supported RAM in Windows 7 Home 64 bit?

Any ideas folks?

Thinking of buying now while cheap, for new build next Jan (delayed yet again due to those pesky credit cards!).

I just want to make sure I'll have plenty of space to raise the RAM but can't seem to find the answer.

My apologies if this is answered elsewhere - I've been searching for the last fifteen minutes (but may have missed it as I've just worked a 14 hour shift and I'm half asleep

)

Well it was 16GB on Home Premium on Vista x64. So W7 will be at least that.

I can't remember off the top of my head, but I'm sure a quick google search will tell you. All I can say is you will probably never fill it before a new OS version comes around. 16GB or something.

Besides, 640K should be more than enough for anybody anyway.

It is 16GB with Pro having 192GB.

Ahhh, the good old days of tweaking the config.sys and autoexec.bat to maximise free memory!

Them were the days... A floppy with 8 or 9 different boot setups on it for different games...

Ordered. Now all I need to do is pay off the credit cards so I can afford the rest of the system :-)
