i am experimenting and overclocking my 6800le, at the moment i have the voltage at 1.5v and the gpu settings at 450/886. when under load i am not getting any artifacts but my temperature is rising to 79 degrees, is this too high, its about 56 when idle.

A friend of mine has my 6800le and i've got it running at 1.4v and currently 375, although it will do at least 400. I wonder if I up the volts to 1.5v would I also be able to get to 450. Would defo be a challenge, not sure he'd let me borrow it back as it's in his main PC and allows him to play COD4 lol.

06 depends on the cpu a lot, try 05

ok i have tried 05 and my results are better, i have scored 3661, i am 13th position compared to similar speced pcs, the best is 5192, 2nd is 4799, 3rd is 4761.

so how do you get a higher score, these guys had similar machines and similar clocks, my cpu is running at 50% max and my memory is 37%, is there anything to achieve by overclocking the cpu?

i assume its safe to up the voltage if the temps are ok ? as mine is reaching a max of 79 and thats apparently ok then, no harm giving it a shot, are you itching to try it?
