A mate is running one of these and his temps seem a little high to me. could anyone tell the me the max temp???

My friend has a 4800 x2 s939. I can't remember the exact temps but they stay low upto about 2.8ghz OC then rise sharply when overclocked anything above this.

i have one: as per sig.

it runs hotter than hell, and ive stopped careing.

koolanc 2PC601 ive used for many years was holding ~60C loaded for orthos @ 2920 1.45V with gfx card loaded and fans on auto mode.

i swapped to a homebrew setup at a substantial cost... and shaved about 7 worthless degrees off it at best - (core0 always lower, core 1 the same or worse). and managed to make things noiser max OC didnt budge just shaved .025v off.

just swapped back

i used to be >80c loaded befor decapping, the cpu's are hardy so dont worry.

Yep, dems tough little buggers but dual cores a bit more sensitive to high temps than single core chips, am sure it'll be fine way past 60C though. I run into little problems at 70C+ load with me de lidded X2 4200 @ 3Ghz 1.485v, though i'd say at stock speed it'd be fine, i keep it at a cool quiet 2.8Ghz 1.375v.
