my pc has been crashing a LOT, just freezing etc, i have been running my e6300 @ 3.2ghz for about 5 months, so i assumed it was overheating, so i clocked down a bit, lowered the voltage a bit, and still froze (even in BIOS!!). i cleaned out my pc (dust etc) and it only seems to turn on if i put the pc on its side with about a 20% success rate, so its running @ stock speed atm, but what is a good voltage + good temp for the chip? i have a tuniq tower 120 btw

Any chance that something is not fitted correctly, Does it have boot problems since you cleaned the dust? if so then maybe you have dislodged something, try reseating everything you may have knocked (memory is a favourite).
Have you updated the bios recently or made any hardware/software changes.
What sort of temps are/were you getting.

Tjunction is 85C

for 24/7 i woulndt have load temps more than 65C

Is that the core temp? Speedfan gives me the temps of, for example as they are now at load - CPU 58C and the two core temps of 64C. Mine is overclocked and running on the stock cooler atm. I've had no crashes erlated to this as of yet but had been a bit curious if it was over heating as previous cpu's i've had have never reached these kinds of temps even overclocked.

I just try and be at or stay under 72c load whilst running Orthos, nothing i do is anywhere as stressful as Orthos and thus I never reach anywhere near the temps of what it is under Orthos.
