max temperature of an opteron 146?

Google for "A64 max temp" and run the app. this will tell you the max temp for your chip.

i would say 70c is the absolute hottest you wanna be going with an opty. 49c is nothing honestly

ive gone back to 1.425 volts running 2.8ghz. it wasnt prime stable at 2.9 ghz and im quite happy with FX57 speeds to be honest.
I think i could get it to run happily at 2.9 or maybe 3ghz but ill hold out at 2.8 for the time being. just a shame my Gskill is only at 250mhz. ill do about 270 max i think but then id have to run the 146 lower of course

im at 2.9ghz with max temp of 52C so far. all fans on minimum.
mine isnt prime stable but it runs all the 3dmarks and plays games fine. doesnt hang any more than it did and memory passes memtest for a few hours. for some reason my pc has never really liked prime. got a feeling im running too much on the PSU though (or my CD-RW is faulty) and its causing a power dip. cant copy on my CR-RW as it crashes so think the drives gone up the duff.
