Max Volts Phenom 9650

Just wondering if you guys could tell me a good max volts on a Phenom I 9650. Overclocking for a friend, using the stock cooler at the moment just want to see how far it will go whilst staying under 70C ( Recommended max Temp)

Also if anyone has had or does have a phenom I chip what speeds have you got it to?

Simple question with a complex answer im afraid.

There are various rules of thumb, ranging from dont overvolt to if its within temp limits its fine. My prefered is to stop when you hit diminishing returns. Exactly where that is depends on how long your willing to spend looking for it.

Finally you can estimate it assuming the chip will last its warranty period at stock volts and rated temp. If temp is below rated, volts can be higher for the same mtbf. Doing this for other time periods is probably taking extrapolation too far though.
