Im trying to get my AMD Athlon 3500 Venice stable at 2.5 Ghz, at the moment im putting 1.6 Volts through it, is this my max ?
 
Thanks, i saw a review a few days ago somewhere, where they were putting 1.7 volts through the same cpu as me on air,

I went slightly above 1.6 volts once but i wont again lol
 
Personally I would not go over 1.6v for air cooling.

For good water cooling setup I would say no more than 1.7v

As for phase change, I dont know i've never had it. (well not yet :D )
