Maximising battery life - MDA Pro

I'm heading off tomorrow up North (i.e. Highlands as opposed to Leeds ;)), and I want to make my battery last as long as possible on my MDA Pro as I'm using it as my camera. I'll be out of signal range too. What is the best way of maximising battery life aside from underclocking it?

I'm going to be using flight mode for the duration except at my stops, and was considering removing the SD, only inserting it periodically to move new photos over. Screen brightness is way down, beam receive is off too.

Does anyone have any other suggestions to get the most out of the battery? Currently I get a couple of days use, but am away for 3.

Thanks,

al

If you're not going to be using it as a phone, why not take the battery out (i.e. switch it off) when it's not in use?

I'm using it as my camera though.

Surely take a charger with you and plug it in somewhere?

Or am i missing something

I'm going to the middle of nowhere, so a charger isn't an option as I'm camping in a field.

Turn off the phone mode, and any bluetooth or wireless services. Should be in your comm manager, drop you backlight down a notch

That should get you a bit more, also just keep it in stanby eg press the power button buts the phone into standby till you need it
