Maximum CPU volts x4 3.2 phenom ?

Been playing with the supplied ASROCK overclocking utility and have got a stable system just under 4 Ghz, very impressive !

Have yet to go above 1.48 v as that was recommended in the beginners guide on OC (CPUz says it's 5.123 volts while the included ulility reports 1.487 V) ?

Fully understanding the cook factor of volts as im employed in electronics, at what voltage do i start really pushing the line ?

1.55v is the normal max, depending on your cooling you can push it with decent water cooling, i've had mine running fine with 1.6v for benchmarking

Up to almost 4.2 Ghz now lol 1.6 volts and still stable, 49c idle temps with liquid cooler, madness, video editing is very fast

49c idle? Liquid cooler? not one of those H50 type contraptions lol

It's still pretty slower compared to a 4.8GHZ Sandy

I now have the cooler fan running full speed continously :rolleyes:

idle temps 32 c ish

clocked to 4.2Ghz and volts = 1.487, temps 49c maxed out !

Will it be ok to run it like this for usual video editing work? as i have 5 PIP full HD objects running smoothly which is very workable.

edit, the cooler is ECO alc.
