Maximum silliness and loads of things to go wrong.

That's the plan.

Assuming it works it's going to have 5 radiators in case cooling 4 7970s, an i7 3960x, 8x sticks of ram and 8 hard drives.

If it works it should mean 4 colours of water (or leaks)

It's going along with 8x 240gb agility 3 ssds on an LSI 9260i raid controller with fastpath.

It was going to have six 28" screens but they are now to be sold and replaced with 3 dell 30" ultrasharps...

What could possibly go wrong? :)

Even with just the video cards the drivers are a nightmare which is one of the reasons for changing from six screens down to the three

Before using quadfire 6970x2 +6990 some games worked great on six, some not happy at all :(

Was good for films though!

The case is called a XSPC H1 Extreme Cube Case and is very ugly(at least on the photos, not seen in person) but very big :)

The case was supposed to be here by now but the supplier cannot get it. :(

It's now coming from the US instead and should arrive next week. :)

The case has arrived in the UK which is good! Not sure what day it will actually arrive though.

Oh and 24 fans arrived and ready for service.... lol

It's going to have 8 ssds and 8 hard drives :)

The LSI megaraid controller should hopefuly give similar performance to a pcie ssd without taking the space. It still fits in with all 4 cards fitted.

I tried TriFire on 3x 1920x1200 screens and it was very good but using 3x 2560x1600 screens this time. I'm hoping at least some games will take advantage of the extra horseponys available for high resolution eyefinity.

This thread is about a computer build and is posted in general hardware.

Please make your own thread if you wish to discuss other things. :)

In other news, green is in.
