Maximum FSB using DDR3 1333MHz Ram

Am looking to upgrade my ddr2 memory to ddr3,

currently have an asus p5qc with E8500 oc to 4GHz - 9.5 * 424.

My existing memory is corsair xms2 4 Gb 7-7-7-20 PC2-8500 1066MHz

I am looking to replace this with fairly good DDR3 memory with PC3-10600 1333MHz.

(my motherboard is capable of having either ddr3 and 2)

According to the tomshardware overclocking guide, there is a limit to the total FSB frequency the memory can handle, this is calculated for ddr2 as,

8500/16 = 531 MHz

and for ddr3 as,

10600/32 = 331MHz

Assuming this is correct, this would mean that the ddr3 wouldnt allow me to overclock my machine with an FSB of 424MHz as it exceeds the 333 limit, therefore this would mean i am better off with the ddr2 memory.

But this doesnt seem correct, can anyone advise me please.

Well thats good as it save me money, only every time i try to increase my dram frequency towards 1066MHz my pc suddenly becomes unstable, so i basically have to run it around the 800 mark to ensure i can get stability.

But that means my ram is not running at its full potential. I have the timings manually inputted along with a voltage of 2.0 both inline with corsairs specs, so how can this be such a problem??
