Maximum pages in a MS Word 07 document?

I heard a rumor ages ago that MS Word can sometimes corrupt your documents if they are extremly long. Is this just a myth or?

Wouldn't be a very good office program if it corrupted documents. Though it doesn't matter as you have a backup right?

Yeh, create backups quite regularly

I'm pretty sure it's a myth, I've seen huge documents running into thousands of pages and was fine.

Took up huge amounts of RAM to open the document mind, but that was expected

Have a 2500 ish page word document. Works fine.
