I currently have 2 x 1GB RAM occupying two of the four RAM slots. The other two are empty.
My operating system is Windows XP Home (32)
I'm led to believe that the OS will only support 3.5 GB of RAM.
If I purchase two sticks of 1 GB x RAM making it 4 GB in all, will the OS still work OK and will there be 1/2 (half) GB left over, ie NOT used? Or will there be too much memory and the OS will NOT work?
