Maximus Formula - Audio Front

Hey all,

I have a Antec P182 case and an Asus Maximus Formula x38 motherboard.

I just realised that I haven't put the audio jacks in the front of the case into the motherboard (I wasn't sure where to stick them)

There are two audio jacks to put into the motherboard... can anyone point where to stick them?

Hi, it is a pale green block on the rear of the sound card...

There are two things that come with the case an HD Audio cable and attached to that is AC 97 - which do I plug in?

Depends what you have the BIOS set to. Set it to HD and plug in the HD cable.

Dunno, that annoys the hell out of me. Is that the only difference between the AC97 and HD settings?

Okay I put in the HD cable and even selected it in the BIOS and it didn't work.
So I put in the AC 97 cable in and didn't change HD settings in the BIOS and it works fine

The sound is so good

So much better than my old motherboard (But that didn't have a fully dedicated sound card

)
