I recently picked this board up from MM :p as a short stop instead of an upgrade.

It all boots fine, finds all my hdd's / ram etc and so on (Q6600 b3) might swap this out for the G0 I have sitting in another board.

My one and only moan about the board is how long it takes to post / run through the intel raid screens before it finally starts to load windows. Is there possibly a small oversight in the bios I have overlooked that shortens this time down or is it time to reflash the bios? (running 1403 iirc)

I also hear rumours the bios can be flashed to the Rampage Formula one, would I see any benefits from this?

I've just swapped out my board so cant check for you. However, i wouldnt bother with rampage bios. I overclocked my q6700 to 3.6 easily with standard bios.

Fair enough! my main thing was mainly the long delay between post + raid screen showing up a good 5/10secs maybe my q6600 b3 is sitting happy at 3.4ghz idle at about 33degree's so wont complain, and dont feel the need to go any further as such! i'll just live with the long post :p

legacy usb detection is the no 1 cause of slow posts in my experience.
Presume you have detached all/various components in turn to see if it is one of them?

Aye noticed it from the off ie just cpu/ram/gpu - just the lone stick of ram aswell! even with legacy usb disabled I still have the issue.
