Hi,

i've set up my 8086K a while ago with a "low" OC at 4.85 / 1.24vcore

I could not achieve a 5GHZ oc even at 1.3 and maybe a setting was wrong somehow.

I am know happy with what I got but still i was wondering if all is ok and if I should not try to push it up a bit;

Also, i was wondering about temps.

My room temp is around 28c those days (Yeah, hot) Is 40 to 42c during browsing, word and soft tasks normal for those parameters?

In game (depending on the games and how they rely on cpu), i'm between 60 and 66 MAX temps (average is around 50c)

is that all ok ?

I just lowered the vcore at 1.235 instead of 1.24 to see,
Also I modified VCCIo to 1.2 and same for System Agent voltage which was set on man

My bios settings except those listed above are : https://drive.google.com/open?id=1VK...nZ9oo5Nw-jbAdI

I'd really appreciate if someone can tell me if all is ok

Also I Was considering going for an adaptive OC, would it be better for temps?

Thanks again

I noticed that if i don't use fast startup in windows I have this issue

When i power the pc it will turn on then turn off and then boot normally..

i'd appreciate some help...

thanks

your temps are perfectly fine. You need not start to worry till you get to 80c but your ok. Official specs say you're ok to 100c but not a good idea to get that far.

Not sure about the turn off bit but it sounds like an issue I had with the E8400 cpu which was down to the RAM being affected by the overclock (This was before xmp etc was around). The way I got around it (sort of) was to set the RAM voltage manually this never resolved the issue fully but happened a lot less after doing it.
