Maximus Hero Z690 with Corsair DDR5 32GB 5600 issue.

I'm getting error code 55 with the Asus Z690 Hero Maximus and Corsair's Vengance 32GB kit, CMK32GX5M2B5600C36, 2 x 16GB.

I've tried booting without, which results in code 53, while combinations of sticks and slots give code 55.

I've also flashed to the latest BIOS using USB.

Are these just incompatible?

Edit. After 6 ice lollies it's booting with the RAM in banks B1 and B2. Both A1 and A2 return error 55.

Is this a faulty motherboard or CPU?
