Maximus V Formula infinite boot loop - please help! :(

Hi all,

I'm struggling with my machine. It's my only means of getting work done. And I really need your help in getting it fixed up. I built my machine 1.5 years ago. Specs are here: http://pastebin.com/UAfuzV7e.

Recently I started getting the following problems.

* On shutdown machine starts up again by itself.
* On switching PSU on machine turns on by itself without power switch.
* When machine turns on monitor shows nothing.
* When machine turns on it goes into an infinite boot loop with monitor showing nothing.
* Once in a blue moon I get to see a bios screen and if I'm lucky it boots into windows but may then hang or reboot after a while.

At this point I've got consistent infinite boot loops with no monitor output and not able to get into bios or windows.

Here's what I've done to address it in order.

* Unplugged 2xGPUs. Didn't help.
* Unplugged all 5.25" bays and accessories. Didn't help.
* Unplugged all storage except for primary SSD. Didn't help.
* Cut down memory sticks from 4 to 2 to 1. Didn't help.
* Replaced primary SSD with new one. Didn't help.
* Reinstalled CPU and AIO cooler (H100) with fresh thermal paste. Didn't help.
* Replaced PSU with new one. Didn't help.
* Removed mini wifi module. Didn't help.
* Pressed clear CMOS button lots of times. Didn't help.
* Removed BIOS battery and reinstalled. Didn't help.
* Removed all memory sticks. I get a code 20 for a while and then it reboots itself again. Didn't help.

Now there's almost nothing plugged in. When I power on PSU the machine turns on by itself, cycles through some bios codes and then shuts down a few seconds later and then repeats the cycle. The bios codes don't appear to be consistent. But everytime it shuts down the light next to the go button flashes for a while.

My own diagnosis is that the motherboard is broken. What more can I try to fix or further debug the problem and how do I get Asus to replace it?

Tried with no ssd attached just to see if it boots to BIOS screen? Done a long cmos clear/battery left out for 30minutes?

Also tried out of the case just to eliminate possible shorts?

Asus carry 3 year warranty,you can request rma on their website

Tried no ssd attached as well - made no difference. I'd get the occasional AE legacy boot event but mostly reboots. Not sure how to do a long cmos clear. I tried pressing the clear cmos button on the back a few times which had no effect. There is no cmos clear jumper on this board. I have also taken the battery out for a while but not for 30 mins so will try that. Have not tried out of case as I wasn't aware of this option - this sounds like a lot of hassle to set up but I guess I will have to take it all off the case to replace it anyway. Yes I have just contacted Asus. Will wait to hear back. Thanks.
