maxthorn browser: you rate it?

Never used it. :) It is based on IE so I wouldn't try it. I don't really get this idea of making a browser by basing it on another. I use IE7 for Windows Updates, Opera for main browsing and Firefox for any sites that won't work in Opera.
 
I tried it the other day and as an alternative to IE7 it was ok and did feel more like FF, however after it started playing up I deleted it.

It may have been because I was using a standalone version of IE7 but I still prefer FF so i'll leave it alone.
 
is maxthon bascially whats sites look like in ie7? i can't get ie7 as windows wont let me so can only test sites i build in ie6 on this machine so would be nice to just be able to view in maxthon to get the look of ie7.

one hugely wonderful feature i like about it is the ability to view 2 tabs at the same time and very easily, moving each very well, something ff doesn't do and no extension comes close to doing as nicely, however with that said ff is and always will be my number one browser as i use so so many extensions for it that i can't live without
 
Yeah apple got in trouble for it recently for pushing it as an "update" from within the apple updater (which has only ever really updated exisitng products before).
 
I tried Safari but it's another one that didn't last long on my PC, I could never get it to work With Hotmail.
