Does anyone have a Maxtor One Touch working with Vista?

I'm trying to get it to work but no joy. It's the 320GB One touch III USB2.0 and Firewire. With Vista 64bit.

The software installed fine, when i power up the drive windows finds it and installs it fine also. But the maxtor software cant see / find the drive and thinks it's not connected, so I can't unlock it to access the drive.

I've searched for more up-to-date software / drivers but can't find any.

Anyone? :)

Hey,
I ahve a Maxtor OneTouch 300Gb version and have the same problems on Vista HP 32bit. The software can't detect the drive even though i can use the drive as a normal external drag and drop files drive.

When setting the program to XP SP2 compatibility mode, i run the program and it says it has stopped working and is checking for a solution and nothing else happens?

Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

Thanks

Neil

I've tryed running it under XP SP2 and that didn't work. If you run it under Windows 2000 tho, that works a bit better, the software detects the drive.

But still, it doesn't work properly, you can't get the drive unlocked.

Guess i'll just buy a new external drive lol.
