Maxtor USB HD Qs

Got a Maxtor USB 160Gb OneTouch unit, is it possible to take the HDD out & hook up a external DVD-RW drive to it? Guess the obv answer is to try

just wondering before I actually break the warranty sticker etc.

Hi mate, Just one quick question aside from that. Asking another OneTouch owner.

Does that white light/button on the drive get on your nerves when it flashes all the time?
Have you any idea if you can turn it off or anything?

(Just curious really)

Yes the light is bright, it flashes one side then the other then both together, if its in your eye line it is very annoying that’s why mine is out of the way

other than that its a very very strong unit drop it and it actually dints the floor lol and the backup button and utility are top notch.

Edit: The light is actually pimp blue

Hi , yes I have one.

I have the 120gb one but i would expect them to use the same chassis.

edit- although i have just realised that u must have a larger physical drive one whereas I have a 2.5inch.

(Whoops)

My light is def white.
