Yes because it is based on the Intel P965 chipset, which does.
The manual may refer to it as Sata 300, instead of Sata II.
Physically, it's a Sata slot, because both use the same slot, so being a guide to the motherboard, it may not feel the need to mention the speed, just the port type.
 
Ah I've just found something in the manual and it refers to them as SATA 3.0Gb/s ports. Are those the SATA II ports? I wish they'd make it a little clearer for noobs like me.
 
yes, that's the one. Sata 1 ports are also called 1.5Gb/s ports.
I know what you mean, still, if you had just plugged it in, it would still be sata II, you just wouldn't know ;)
 
And of course, it's not SATA II unless you install the right drivers when you install Windows. You need to press F6 and load them from a Floppy to make sure the controller has SATA II enabled in the OS. Just plugging a SATA drive into a header still has it running at 150Mb/s.
