I’m trying to install Maya 2012 on my Windows 7 professional x64 install but it fails every time, with the following error log.
I've tried removing the 2005 distributable and installing this http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=5638 and this http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=14431 but that gives me some obscure error also.
How can a $5,000 piece of software be so difficult to install when Blender is trivial? Evidently price != quality.
