Hey all, I'm looking for something pretty specific here.

I'd like a machine with the best processor possible (i7 or Xeon most likely, I'm not sure whether the AMD equivalent is good enough, but if someone can recommend one I would certainly not rule them out), a good helping of RAM (8GB is bare minimum, 16GB would be great) plus a 1GB graphics card for as cheap as possible (just something that can play games at medium-high res, I already have a gaming PC that can handle high-ultra settings - I'm sure these can be had for £80 or so?). I don't need a small case, but if this can be done in as small a footprint as possible that'd be ideal.

Mouse/Keyboard/Monitor/HDD/SSD/OS are NOT required.

I want this machine to serve as my machine for working in, and rendering from, Maya - hence the need for a decent CPU and RAM. A case with good cooling out of the box would be great.

Now, is this possible at £500? I'm aware that an i7 alone can be around £230, but I'm sure this is somehow do-able...

TLDR version:

Budget: £500
CPU: i7, Xeon or AMD equivalent (quad-core at a minimum.)
RAM: 16GB ideal, 8GB min
GPU: 1GB ideal
Case: Ample cooling but as small as possible
No OS/HDD/SSD/Monitor/Keyboard/Mouse required
