mayhems aurora 2

For a week or so before it crashes and burns. Aurora 2 is still not a permanent solution with typical watercooling components, such as CPU blocks with jetplates.

thought it might have been made more suited for longer use this time round

1-2 week rather than 1-2 days :D

But no, unless you go ahead and design a loop around Aurora it won't be much better.

Even designing a loop around it, you'l see the sparkly all gone and be left with a sickly semi transparent liquid within a month even if it all runs fine, it wont look great.

not really true if you use a better designed block such as a EK block (EK-Supremacy), remove the jet plate, Use a cross flow rad, use a D5 set it to 4 or 5 and use a tube res it lasts well over 1 year plus. Things like less bends all help. Its all about using equipment that doesn't hinder the Aurora.

running a gpu and cpu bock as well as bay reservoirs will just kill off aurora.

Will this ever be long lasting as I'd love to use ?
Why can't be used in gpu blocks?
The jet plate that's inside the cpu block how does this help?
I use the D5, tube res and lots of straight line acrylic tubing!

Were trying to raise £38,000 for some new equipment that will aid us in the development of Aurora and also also in the development of some other fluids. Once we can get what we need i personally think i can crack aurora to be 24/7 for a year at least on any system. How ever we are a long way off that so were working with CPI and the European Union funding project to get closer with the help of other companies who have access to the equipment we need. Its all baby steps but i will not give up trying to make aurora a permanent liquid for all to use (were about 85% of the way there allready).

That would be awesome indeed

I had aurora in H2Orange for a good 4 or 5 months (in between 2 events) and it still looked ok, not amazing, but still OK... once i had flushed the loop and added new, the difference was noticeable!

tbh, i think thats amazing considering how many angle fittings ( it has around 26 some 90 some 45 degree) mobo, cpu, RAM 3 gpu, 3 reservoirs 3 rads and it lasted so long! i was expecting it to last less than a month (and even when i messaged Mayhems and asked for the aurora, he even told me it wouldn't be a suitable system, yet i just carried on regardless and im glad i did!!!

I've been using the A2 blue for just over 6 months and all is fine, the effect has slightly reduced, but only because I sit next to it every day, and notice it, if you were just to see it for the first time you wouldn't notice at all.
