Mayhems biocide top up query

Hi All,

Quick question about using biocide - I put the recommended amount in my WC loop a few months ago (1-2 drops) but recall reading that you should add this amount every three months. Can anyone confirm if there is any requirement to top up mayhems biocide levels? - there was nothing in the packaging with the product that suggested this.

That aside I was planning on just leaving the loop for 9 months then flushing the system and refilling? Ideally I'd like to leave it from longer but I'm guessing that's not worth the hassle of a system full of gunk!

Thanks very much

All you need is distilled/deionzed water PT Nuke and silver coil, the nuke is needed for the biocide to build up in the water from the coil, ive been running my loop since January 2010 and its still crystal clear with no problems, you dont need anything else in your loop, all Mayhems does is gunk up your blocks overtime.

Paddy McGinty were not on about amiga 500's so please less trolling unless you know what your talking about.

I do know what im talking about, ive been custom watercooling for 4 years, the cleanest wc solution you can use is distilled or deionzed, dont matter what fancy colourful liquid that you use, they all gunk up your blocks over time, only thing mayhems does is prolong the process over other competitors.

I wouldnt put any of that crap in my loop, people should know the difference between colouful liquids and clear based liquids, then they can take there pick.

So what are you saying that mayhems liquids *does not* gunk up you blocks overtime and that mayhems liquids are *cleaner* than distilled/deionzed with biocide?

Is that what your saying?

Please answer my question directly and dont evade around it with an alternative answer.

How am i trolling,im asking an important and perfectly legitimate question.

Just as i predicted, you evaded my answer, you always evade this question when its thrown at you,ive asked you this question before on other forums,i know what im talking about i have good knowledge in custom water, people who dont have a lot of experience have a right to know the difference between liquids as im pointing out here, your liquids dont have any glycol in which is a good thing but they only prolong the gunk buildup like i said before,distilled/deionzed with coil and nuke is the cleanest and healthiest option for a long lasting loop;)

Sigh. Coil and nuke?

Sounds like someone needs to simmer down.

Using a coil and nuke is not essential but using nuke(2 drops) as well as coil is good, as a coil on its own needs time for the biocide to build up in the water.Ive been running my loop for a a good while know with this method. Its also recommended over at XS.

Been using Mayhems dye for quite a while, and not seen this gunking you speak of. I have seen posts regarding other brands gunking but never in relation to Mayhems, any chance of a link to the source or is this more hearsay & conjecture?

I thought the standard procedure was place kill coils in your liquid a couple of days before you intend to use to allow the silver ions to build up in the liquid,

Any chance of a source to the recommendation of using PT Nuke & Silver kill coils.. could be an interesting read, from the bits I have read it would seem prudent to use one or the other but not both, but hey I'm no expert :D

lmao! Open your mouth a bit further you might be able to get the other foot in :D Staining blocks you have clearly not used Mayhems dye's the plastic may stain but its no hassle to clean it, which you should be doing when you break down a loop anyway?

I will stop feeding the troll sorry to the OP, was too much fun to be had :D

Once again reinforcing just how wrong you are.
If you are going to quote gospel and verse from xtreme systems, do it over there.

Its nice to see you trying to justify your posts to me though. :)
You had better go and hunt down the source for this misinformation about using a coil and biocide. Someone asked for it above and you havent managed to provide it.
And don't say "it's on Xs" because I post on there too :)

I've been using Mayhems coloured fluid since it was first released and have no issues at all.

I've also used the Aurora, Pastel AND drop dyes without issue!

Mr McGinty doesn't know what he's on about, Mayhems is the crème de la crème.

Keep drinking the XS Kool-aid.....:D

I run a coil on its own with no Biocide with dye with no issue at all. Using a Cu based biocide will cause gunking however.

You should know that XS are actually nubcakes and are not the suppository of all wisdom...
