Hello, i just bought a 480 and 360 mayhems rad and both rads came with some XT-1 and blitz cleaner.

Im a bit old school with my watercooling, only every used vinegar and tap water to clean my loop and DI water with killcoils and biocide as coolant.

Firstly should i still use vinegar and water to clean my rads and blocks before use the blitz cleaner or would it not be necessary, and secondly i think my system holds about 4.5 liters lookiing at what was left from the 5 liter bottle i used to fill it, the 2 bottles of XT-1 i have is enough for 4 liters, can i get away with it been a little watered down or is it precisely mixed and i need to buy some more if i was to use it. Cheers

In my case atm theres a mixture of Tygon, Clearflex 60 and primoflex but i decided to get some new as most of it is 10+ years old. I ordered some mayhems tubing so im sure it will be compatible with their coolant.

Also do i use the blitz to clean the new rads or are they clean already and its just for the rest of the loop thats staying in?

The Blitz they supply with the rads is part 2 of their cleaning system. Part 1 is for cleaning metal deposits from rads etc so isn't necessary as their rads are already pre-cleaned.

Blitz Part 2 is for cleaning out general loop buildup gunk and to ensure your loop is at the right PH level for their specialist coolants to work correctly.

You should use the Part 2 they supply on your completed loop before draining and filling with your coolant of choice.

If you want to know more check out the cleaning kit description on their website.

Cheers, that sounds good, i wont bother with vinegar then as it might send the PH level off if any is left behind.

Yeah theyre great, unfortunately the pipe i bought 16/10mm is too thick for them, but i will use that on the barbs im also using and ive ordered some thinner pipe 13/10mm for the bits im using them fittings on. The pipe is so cheap nowadays i dont mind having a bit spare, the tygon stuff i used to use was much more expensive. Although i think the tygon stuff was made for medical use rather than watercooling.
