Mayweather vs Cotto (5th May)

This fight will be a lot more competeive than people think, cotto is no joke.

He lost to magercheeto and at a catchweight again pac (also rumoured juicing).

Tell you what as well, age is catching up to mayweather and cotto can box.

Really wanted Cotto to knock him out but he simply didn't box well enough.

The few times he caught Mayweather with one hand, he had a clear shot with the other hand on a few occasions but he just didn't pull off any combinations. In fairness though, Mayweather's defensive stance excellent, the way he leads with his shoulder at an almost 90 degrees angle makes him very hard to hit.

I respect that he's a great fighter and he did deserve to win it, I just detest his personality and want to see him knocked out purely for my entertainment/pleasure.

Roll on the Pac fight :D

Aint happening from what i last heard, problem is Mayweather knows he will get knocked the **** out by Pac man should they ever meet but the chances of that happening is virtually nil now. Mayweather coming up with excuses and dodges signing the contract with Pac.

Mayweather as a fighter is good, but like Asim said above, its his personality and attitude that i just cant take to. But the problem is until he takes on Pac man, he thinks hes the greatest ever lol. No son you arent, beat Pac man then people will start believing that you really are the best ever.

I understand the attitude issues.. I suffered with it too..
My opinion changed after I watched an episode of 24/7 where he went and personally picked up loads of food and personally delivered meals to the homeless people around Vegas..

I hope the Pacman fight does happen.. After his last fight I honestly don't know who would win!

I didn't like the boxnation commentary at all, it felt like a PBF love-in. Scored the fight 8-4 myself.

What's interesting to me is that PBF struggled at times with Cotto's aggression, whereas Pac basically demolished Cotto. Then you had JMM demolished by Floyd, and I thought Pac lost to JMM in that third fight. After the Pac-JMM fight I thought that Floyd vs Pac would be an easy night's work for floyd, but now I'm not so sure, although I would still lean towards a Floyd victory.

Sorry to argue against that, but in my opinion that is exactly what hes aiming to achieve by filming a 2 minute snippet of an extremely small charitable deed and broadcasting it on what is basically his own TV show. No doubt a stunt to win a soft spot in the hearts of people who hate his personality.

On the same show he said something across the lines of "Who said money cant buy happiness? some broke ass *****. And who said beauty comes from within?, some ugly ass *************".

I highly doubt he actually gave a **** about those homeless people.

I don't know what's going on in Maywhether's head but that's my take on it and I like to think I'm pretty good at sussing out BS. :p

And likewise you can judge his personality from how he comes across on camera?

To be honest, I can see why someone would have that perceived level of arrogance (not that I agree with it), especially in America where their culture is different to our reserved attitudes over here and even more so when nobody comes close to his level of skill in the ring.

If you can't judge him on his poor character that he shows for the camera, then I think you can judge him on the multiple domestic violence cases that he's been involved in.

I agree styles make fights but remember when Cotto fought Pacquaio it was at a catch weight that suited Pac. Cotto looked drained against Pac. Mayweather didn’t want a handicap catchweight to fight Cotto and prefers to man up and fight at the full weight.

That was a better Cotto than fought Pac. If you going down that route then look at how one sided Mayweather V Marquez was compared to when Marquez fought Pac. Styles make fights.

Mayweather does a lot for charity that you dont even hear about its a non arguement, trying to say he only did that for TV is bs. I get why people hate him but personally I find him amusing.

You guys crying over Mayweathers antics better get ready for Adrien Broner. Lets just say he makes Floyd look reserved :)

Mayweather could have humiliated Cotto. Rounds 1-4 was a boxing lesson which was entertaining in itself. Mayweather then obviously didn't feel threatened by Cotto and began boxing on the ropes making it a little messy to please the crowd.
