Mazda 2.0 & 2.3 engines

Hi,

Does anyone know how I can find out if these engines are belt or chain please?

2.0 and 2.3 NA engines found in the Mazda3 and Mazda6 up to 2007

Even better would be major faults to look out for etc

Yes Google will help.

From a quick check Mazda use timing chains on the 2.0 and 2.3, but I would check a bit further if I were you. Eurocarprts don't list one either

The 2.0 used in the MK3 MX5 is chain driven

Mazda MZR petrol engines are chain driven - no cam belts.
