I have had my mazda6 for coming on a year and it's now due its 62,500 mile service. Mazda in Guildford want £250 for it, a mazda specialist in Southampton wants £97 for it while most independents say "what's a mazda6?, we will get back to you" and never do.
The specialists in Southampton said it is a really minor service but can't tell me exactly what is en tales. I don't suppose there is anyone with access to that national database of car serving that can tell me what is involved in a Mazda6 62,500 service for a 2ltr diesel, 2003 manual car?
Now my problem is the southampton place can't fit me in till a week on friday, mazda in Guildford can fit me in tomorrow (hehe, obviously struggling to get customers in at that price) or do I just risk it and book it in with a small independent local to me? Is this such a risk with such a minor service?
How do I know if the independents are any good? Can anyone recommend me a good independent in Woking, Guildford, Camberley or surrounding areas that could do this service for me?
The car has always been serviced by Mazda themselves, will having it independently done result in lost value when I come to sell it?
I know there is no easy answertomost of these questions but any help will be appreciated.
