Maze 4 For 1800XT 512mb or 256mb

Will the smaller maze4 waterblock be ok on the 1800xt (256mb and 512mb) if i put some ramsinks on it as well?

Ive seen that dangerden have brought out a full coverage for this but it is soooo expensive, so was wondering if i can get away with the above theory.

Any help will be cool.

I had the same idea (noticed someone running a maze4 chrome gpu on x1800). I have the x800gto atm, and maze 4 gpu with ati mounting (diagonal threads) fits.

The x1800/1900 series need the nvidia mounting threads (square formation of threads). If u have a the waterblock from early on in its production then check for the 4 tapped holes in the copper of the block. Early revisions didnt have the mounting holes apparently.

I have a eheim 1250, and maze 4gpu, I needed a new radiator. I bought the pa160 thermochill (mainly because it comes with a fan shroud), a dangerden filling cap, a t-piece and some 3/8" to 1/2" bspt/barbs. Cost £100. Awaiting it in post.

yeah it was me that had a chrome maze 4 on my x1800. i have now got it on my x1900xtx, with some zalman memory heatsinks. the mounting block that fits the ati's is the nvidia one. the full blocks are just gimmicks and restrict the loop. anyways if your going for 1/2" loop get 7/16" tubing cos all you do is heat the end up in boiling water then it go's on nice and tight, with no need for clamps so looks a lot better and less fiddly. the inner diameter also is more exact with 1/2" barb inner diameter so flows smoother.

Do all of those "all in one" blocks cover the vregs? Thats going to be a weak point, perhaps more so without the stock (or accelero's) fan exhaust pointing at them. Reading another thread, the guy had 46'c gpu temp and 97'c vreg temp!

i have an aquaxtreme mp-1 on my x1900 and ramsinks on the ram.

Then a 120mm slow turning fan over the whole lot and temps are nice.
Highest i seen on ati tool is high 40's (must be VREGS?)

core never goes above 40

yeah when i first put my maze4 on my x1900xtx the vregs where hitting 97c! now ive got an 80mm fan blowing directly over them and it stays around 60c

I think ati tool does. im not sure which temp it is on there tho

it must be the top one. The bottom two are core and environment.

no, the one on the graph is core temp. which isnt 40.

Get the MP-1, its the same thing and comes with all the backplates needed (including a nice X one for 7800's etc.)

In ati tool the top temp is the voltage regulator. Put you mouse curser over the temp reading and see what happens

That mounting kit is actually for the ati 800series and below; the nvidia one looks similar but has a plasticy crossmember thing.
