Hello my OC's fellas 
TL;DR
I'm looking for an advice as I think my MB it's dead/faulty.
It's a ASUS Rampage II Gene + i7 920 (1st generation), yesterday one of a sudden, the signal to my monitors brutally went off while being on the www. I thought first, there is a problem with the PSU.
I restarted the PC, and it did power on for 2 seconds then it restarted again. It did like this 3 times in a row then it went ON. But no signal to monitors at all. No beeps from MB, no clicks, no sounds at all, no keyboard lights/mouse, nothing.
I 've disconnected a few secondary drives, I thought there's not enough power from the PSU (Corsair 750W) & dvd, even though it has worked well for many years and it did the same thing.
I took everything off, and let only GFX card, 1 x RAM and 1 x HDD, same.
I tried with a different GFX card, same.
I removed even the Main HDD and it does the same.
It's like when you start the car's engine and 2 seconds after it shuts down quietly then automatically tries to restart until eventually would power ON.
For example, when it happened to "hard reset" or "shut down" computer from the POWER button in extremely rare cases I could hear sounds from inside the case, now it's not the case. What is weird is that after 3-4-5-6 (random) quick restarts it turns on, vents at normal speed, but no beep at all, no signal, nothing on the screen.
What do you think? It's dead ?
I'm in a rush, as it's also my PC for work, so I thought I'll buy a new MB + CPU + Case ASAP, tomorrow maybe, what do you guys would recommend?
I was thinking to get MB+CPU+Case, I still have a HAF 932 case, I can use it and change later but I was thinking to change it now cause it's really isn't very protective against DUST.
I don't plan to use SLI, I don't plan to Overclock at all.
I work 80% time in software such as Photoshop/Illustrator
I play games often (witcher 3, fo4, rome 2 total war), I have a ATI 7970 and can do with medium/high graphics not needing for ULTRA
I do video editing ocasionally, and music composition, also some 3D rendering now and then.
What MB + CPU would you recommend (to last me 4-5 years)? My budget is like £320-340 (450 €)
I hesitate between an i5 or i7. 6th generation and always used to have ASUS and never had problems with any of their MB until yesterday.
