Need to upgrade again with new MB, CPU and RAM. Perferably Intel based.

Please help with recommendations.

Application is solely business and internet. No gaming at all. Photoshop, web access, and other general purpose apps.

I don't think I need a dedicated graphics card; probably integrated graphics on motherboard.

What is best CPU and MB to go for?

Budget for upgrade in region of £150 or so, without going overboard.

Youre best upping your budget, going to be very hard to get near that

This is my first recomendation, Ill try n see if I can get cheaper

AMD route would be cheaper, but no where near as powerful

Actually for Intel, just use this bundle, still over budget though

When you say general apps like photoshop ect, what other apps do you mean...

Are you playing around with high res (large) images or video's or anything...

If not you can save and get closer to your budget with 2gb Ram which is all that is needed without gaming, high res photos or editing large images/video's. If you needed more in furture you can add the extra ram!

I may need to do some high res image work, possibly video.

Am I right in assuming that a separate video card is not necessary for my type of applications, and is only really needed for gaming?

I would rather take the budget up than drop the perfromance.

yes you are correct, there is no need for a dedicated gfx card unless gaming
Have a look at the bundle I linked to before, v similar to the i3 builds me n RJC did
