hi ima going to get one of these cpus but dont know what asus board to get to go with it, i read that all new 45nm chips need bios upgrade, but i havent got a old cpu to use as i sold my old rig,can i update bios using a usb and the new cpu at post ? or is there a board i can get that works straight out of box?

with the p35 boards, they will boot once with the e8400, but if you don't flash straight away, it won't boot again.
the most important thing to make sure it works is to PLUG IN THE USB DRIVE before you turn it on, otherwise the bios won't see it.
then go straight into ezflash from the bios menu.
not sure about the x38 boards, they may work out of the box.
obviously once boards start coming with the newer bios's, you wont have to do anything.
