im half-way through my new build and the problem is that the i/o shield is stopping the mobo from going right into the top corner which means that the standoffs dont align!

what should i do?

How far of are the holes?

You need to check that the flappy bits on the I/O shield plate are not in the way of the ports, some of the flappy bits sit on top of the silver boxes that contain the ports.

Apply a little pressure to the edge of the board closest to the drives, to get the holes to line up, then get a screw in with the other hand.

they 3/4mm out, and i am applying pressure at the edge, like my first build, but they're not close enough

ill try playing with the flappy bits to see if they're getting in the way :)

UPDATE: the reason it wasnt fitting was two fold:

1) the prong bits were not straight so i bent them to be straight

2) the io plate hadnt popped into place at the back

it has been fitted and ill be updating the project log shortly :)
