MB Open day

These open days aren't a big deal TBH.

I'd be very suprised if you see any of the Black Series cars.

Not sure i see the point in a MB open day? There isnt a new merc worth buying this side of £50+k, nice if you have the money i guess?

I suppose you get a free glass of cheap wine and a Ritz cracker with Philadelphia called a canape :)

Everything was laid on, they were greeting staff, completely ignored dad and I, we turned up in an 02 audi tt, immaculately looked after and detailed but no. He tried getting hold of staff but they completely ignored him. Hes standing there wearing stuff all ironed and pressed (hes military) and £3k of omega watch etc.

So now hes adamant hes not having anything to do with MB!

Wasnt worth taking a camera, there werent any decent cars there, the best CLK for example was a CLK200, the only car id want that was there was a 2nd hand CLS 55 AMG.

Meh tbh

Where I used to work do them, they specifically target people to market.

These people are the ones who are 2 1/2yrs + into finance agreements or ownership, they come in talk about exchanging current car and a lot of people change!

But from a customers point of view, unless you're coming to buy a car then you're wasting your time as you can do the rest of the activities at home!

These events tend to be aimed more at existing customers. BMW held a similar one a month or so back, got a load of nice food and an F10 530d to play with.

So he's gonna completely rules out one of the best manufacturers of cars in the world because the staff didn't fall to his knees because his clothes were ironed and he was wearing an Omega watch?

I used to see stuff like this all the time, people come in, get flustered because the place is busy and sales people are running around looking after other customers, and because everyone is busy and can't attend the customers immediately then customer gets in a huff and writes in a letter of complaint!

Maybe he should have asked at reception to see someone if he was that serious about buying a car!

There wasnt a reception. One lot of staff talking to customers, the other lot were in a corner drinking tea/coffee and having a good old chinwag to each other.

He went over to the group, said Hi, and they just looked at him, turned their noses up, and turned back round. He was about to kick off i dragged him away, he has a bit of a temper and i really dont like drama!
