i have a feeling am not getting the best out of my Ram/overclock on a hole.
Hey Dealz,
hehe that's not bad man! . . . you have no idea, some other forum members here would kill just to get 400MHz-FSB stable let alone 455MHz-FSB!
Your right though the memory frequency is running slightly underclocked in that screenie above but that is because you have it set synchronously (or 1:1) with your FSB.
If you have a nose through your BIOS (or the motherboard manual) you will see the following two options
- FSB Strap to North Bridge
- DRAM Frequency
If you first have a play with the DRAM Frequency you will see there are a bunch of different DDR2 speeds you can set, although to use them I suspect you will either have to start overclocking your memory or perhaps back down your FSB from 455MHz!
Few bits of software I recommend you download (if you havan't already) are:
Orthos Stress Prime 2004
Memtest86+ V2.11
IntelBurnTest v1.6
Orthos (Small FFTs Test, 30mins - 8 Hours) gives your overclocked CPU plenty to think about and will quickly let you know if the processor is nice and stable . . . and that's about all it is useful for however you can't really get onto testing your memory while being unsure that the CPU is working so get this boring bit out the way!
If your haven't done already (and your man enough!) I suggest you run IBT next on your system as is (maximum stress #1, 10 loops!), that will give your Processor, Northbridge and Memory a good kicking and help you be confident your system is 100% rock solid (hope you got good cooling!

).
Download that Memtest86+ V2.11.iso and burn it to a CD-ROM, it's a classic bit of software and very useful when you are overclocking and testing memory. If Memtest86+ V2.11 passes dozens of loops but IBT fails that generally means the RAM is ok (and has enough volts) but their is a problem with the Northbridge . . . Possibly the CPU also!
