Had my MB (signature) and 2500k for some time. I managed to get a 4.3GHz overclock by changing the multiplier but I am also unable/find it difficult to go any further as there is no voltage control just offset. Likewise I would like to push my memory further but the board doesn't come packed with features.
I don't know whether to keep it as is and wait for a couple of CPU generations before changing both or buy a new/clearance MB and push further. Something like the MSI Z77 Mpower or Gigabyte D3H (I must learn how to post a link?). I am using a coolermaster hyper 212 but could swap that for a reconditioned H100?
Are the gains worth the extra? Thanks
