Well this evening was mac maintenance evening (needed to reinstall osx on the c300 as it was getting really slugish) which took quite a while (forgot the installer cant operate around a windows partition which is silly)
Anyway since iv gotten it all back together (the hour long time machine restore was a chore...) no audio works! Itunes (and all other mp3 playing software) crashes upon opening it and I get no sounds from other applications.
Now for the confusing bit, when I turn the sound up and down it makes the sound up and down noises fine!?!?!
Anyone with any ideas how to fix this without having to go to the apple store again....
