MBP battery issue

Hi

I'm having battery problems with my MBP. It's been plugged into the mains for a while whilst running a cinema display, but I need to use it by itself for the next 6 months whilst away with work.

However, I've noticed that the battery is exhausted after 1:30 at the most.

It was purchased approximately 16 months ago, but I can't find the receipt at the moment.

What is the chance that I can get this fixed/sorted, and if so will it be for free? Also, what is the turnaround on this fix. I work in London so can take it into the Apple shop, but need it before next weekend.

Thanks in advance for any comments.

John

You shouldn't leave them plugged in all of the time, the best way to treat a laptop battery is to constantly keep the thing discharging or charging. You could try to calibrate the battery:

See if that helps. Although a new battery might be worth it if your needs require a longer duration of use.
