For some reason when I press power button on my MBP it takes over a min to get to my desktop fully. At one time it use to take 20 sec....

I did a reinstall about 2 month ago as it slowed down and it did fix it and I dont really want to do a reinstall again..

I have run OnyX and it not made any difference at all I run the automated on it

How much HDD space have you used?

I got 3gb ram and i got 65gb of HD Free from a 120gb HD

I wouldn't worry too much. Mine has slowed down since I have put more and more on my HDD.

is this really normal at all? Though Apple meant to be fast all the time

No, there is inevitably going to be some slow down. If you have run Onyx, then there is not much more you can do.
