Ive been having problems with some freezing issues on my MBP which i made a post about a few weeks back but nothing from what people suggested worked.
Just to give a quick overview of the problem:
1.about a month ago it started freezing when watching video online (iplayer/youtube etc)
2. about 2 weeks ago it started crashing on non video websites (at this point i still thought it may be some issue with firefox)
3.within about the past week it has started crashing even when working on MS word or any other bog standard programs rendering it practically unusable.
So today i decided i would wipe the HDD and have a fresh install of OSX which has since caused yet more issues.
The problem i have now is that ive inserted the OSX install disk as instructed, started the install app which then asked me to restart the machine. It seemed to restart, got the the grey startup screen which hung for a few mins then went black and sounded like it powered down.
I can shut it off completely by holding the power button, but upon restarting it makes a couple of beeps then hangs on a black screen. Obviosuly im now stuck with what seems to be a completely useless MBP with the install disk stuck in the optical drive.
Either way im probably going to end up phoning apple care tomorrow but id at least like to try a reinstall just incase.
