MBP on finance? How many of you have done it?

Ive financed a laptop previously, was the 13MBP back in 09, if you plan on keeping it for the full term 3 years then i dont see any issue with financing the laptop.

We cant all be perfect and have loads of money sitting in the bank saved for these type of things so if you want it but cant afford it outright id put in as big a deposit as possible and finance it.

on the Air over Pro, id go with the Air in your case as the SSD does make a massive difference over the Ageing 5400rpm drive you'd get in the pro.

For sure, I wont be changing the laptop anytime soon. Like my home theater equipment, I normally buy as future proof as possible even with evolving rapidly and that's what was leading me down the route of the Retina model. I have had my main pc (which im on now) for three years and because i look after it and keep the hard drive clean of any unwanted tat, it still performs as good as the day i brought it. That will be the same for the laptop - It will be used by myself only, cared for like my children and get plenty of use, so in terms of an investment it will definitely pay off.

I'll make my decision after getting a good play with them up at Currys.

Just got a tesco credit card. 16 months interest free. Going to get the rMBP. I've actually saved loads more than required but i don't want to pay it all in one go. Going to maybe pay off a grand then do the final grand over 10 months or something.

Good plan. Every little helps after all! :p
