Intels mobile processors have much higher thermal tolerances than the desktop variety.
They are designed so they can get hot sat in a small metal/plastic shell.
Id only get worried when you break 100
A few mins ago I was ripping a cd copying files from one hdd to another whilst running time machine and playing wow and it got up to 90 degrees before the fans kicked it down to about 75.
Mine span right up to over 6k rpm you may have a way to go yet.
Another thing I've noticed with snow leopard is that the fans tend to be reving up at a slightly lower temperature. Not so they are on a lot, but it just gives them a bit of a head start when I really hammer the poor little thing.
Just think of us poor nVidia 8600M GT owners.. playing with the solder of death! (basically if the GPU gets too hot it unsolders itself due to nVidia's mess up)
I use smc fan control a lot. Currently my fans are at 4000rpm and temps 45degC as the ambient temperature is quite high. Probably needs clean out again too.
My MacBook is usually around 45 degrees at 1800 RPM, that's usually while browsing and listening to iTunes. If I watch flash videos however it gets to about 55 degrees at a much higher RPM.
