Hi All

This evening I have just notice something on my screen and never noticed it before....

I put on a plain solid wallpaper on my desktop and i notice on the left hand side of the screen it got a darker shadow about a inch wide compare to the centre of the screen and on the right it the same but just a bit less.

Is this a known problem or is it normal?
 
What size screen do you have?

Is it a recent machine (one with the LED backlight)?

If not, or you have a 17" then you have a backlight bleed :)
 
Nope it reaching up to 1 year old and is a 15" I only started to notice never was there before would apple do anything it went for a new power button 4 weeks ago
 
The pressure on the LCD panel (caused when changing the button), has probably given the backlight an uneven spread.

No way to prove that though..
 
I am back alive just picked up my MBP after dropping it off at the apple store yesterday afternoon and i have had a brand spanking new LCD fitted and it is great no problem at all now. Now I got a new case on it as the other has some bad marks on the edge this now look like a new machine :)
 
Why how long has it taken to do yours? They did mine quickly as I had a go at them as the problem happened after they fixed my power button so they did it a matter or urgent call Pro Care free of charge.

I've had very good experiences with Apple repairs. My CD drive failed and they replaced it in one hour in the christmas period.

Then I had a backlight issue and it was ready to collect the day next:)

Maybe you were just unlucky? Or they were particularly busy?

Maybe, neither of them account for the part not actually being fitted properly and not connected the bluetooth though, or do they?

I certainly won't be going to the Solihull store again though. :p
 
That is impressive to be fair. Imagine PC world doing that #####SHUDDER####

None of this really helps me as I am desperate to save for a house but keen to get an air or MBP :'(
