Hi,
My Dad has "McAfee Internet Security" on his PC [not a good choice I'm told, but he was "advised" in PC world], which, in the past, has been a little problematic.
As his license was expiring a few days, I decided to uninstall it, and install AVG plus Comodo firewall.
I used the "Add-Remove Programs" method - all seemed well, and subsequently installed the above new software - however, mayhem ensued - the internet wouldn't work - IE wouldn't run - and numerous "pop up" error messages ran, in relation to McAfee.
It seems a number of McAfee elements still exist - I inserted the McAfee disc and ran the "uninstall" option from there, but to no avail - so I decided to System Restore back to an earlier time.
It seems now that McAfee is "semi-installed" - but won't run - the Internet now connects but is "unprotected" and occasional pop-up errors come though.
Has anyone else had this problem - could anyone suggest a way to install all traces and elements of McAfee - "CCleaner" didn't work, so I'm at a loss what to do.
Regards
