mcafee vs ati tray tool

Add ATI Tray Tool to Mcafee Exclusion List to stop it from flagging the program.
Open Mcafee console
Open Unwanted Programs Policy
Open Exclusion list and add the program there.

Edit: Installed the program and its not flag by Mcafee at all.
Do you got the latest Mcafee update/signature?
Where did you get your copy maybe its infected?

I now see that you got a different version of McAfee. So the steps I have given is not applicable to that GW version.
If I'm not mistaken the McAfee-GW-Edition is from SecureWeb which was acquired by McAfee somtime ago.
Maybe pass on the false detection to McAfee and wait for an updated AV sig for your version or use some other
program to oc your card.

This scan is taken from VirusTotal

Jeez , mcafee in our corp network was harder to remove than most virus/trojans

Ditch it seriously

I don't think McAfee know how to use McAfee

I'm an expert at it

Go to Windows Control Panel
Add/Remove Programs / Uninstall a program
find Mcafee and remove it :D

This may help also

Quote of the day for me, thanks bledd :) kylew a close second

McAfee and Norton suck big hairy ones. No idea why people put up with them. Avast Free is a vastly superior product, let alone the paid for version!

£30 for pro, £45 for internet security (all bells and whistles)

They're 1 year deals, the do longer ones for reduced cost. Antivirus apps fall in and out of favour though, I'd never buy more than a year at once.

I've found Avast to be quite light on resources. It has a "Silent/Game" mode too. Oh, and setting up exceptions is quite easy too, should there be a false positive. YMMV

Then again, Avast free is good enough if you don't do silly things like dowload p0rn, torrent stuff or open "I want to meet you many much" emails :)
