McCanns going too far?

Where are you supposed to draw the line? One month? One year? 10 years?

When will it be time to let go, move on and mourn for the loss. Whether they're dead or simply not coming back? If they do turn up, it's marvellous but searching for 14 years will do nothing. The world is a huge place, within a year the missing person can be literally anywhere on the planet. It would be like trying to find a specific grain of sand on a beach. It would send the searcher insane. It would be better to accept that they will probably never return and begin the healing process.

A bit premature for the Mcanns to give up yet, but a time will come.

If it was my kid I'd keep looking until she was found, dead or alive.

While they are so busy fund raising, making sure she isn't forgotten etc. etc. it stops them having to sit down and face the cold hard reality that if they'd done their job as parents correctly she wouldn't have been abducted in the first place. May be it's the only way they can deal with the guilt.
I feel sorrow for them and anger towards them in equal measure.
My thoughts exactly. The tabloids love this kind of story as well. Any opportunity to produce large banners, posters, balloons, etc with their name and logo on to be displayed on televisions around the world is £££.

I think this money is not being wisely spent at the moment let alone raising more.

As much as I hope and pray she will be found alive, safe and well in my heart of hearts I feel this is increasingly less likely. Surely instead of the Mcanns jet setting around the globe the money could be used far more constructively with a childrens charity.

I think it has come time for them to return home.

Believe me, the tv advert is worse than reading about it in the papers. I nearly threw something at the tv when it came on, instead, I ended up hurling abuse at it.

Granted, if it was my child I'd be doing everything possible to try and find her, but all I'm seeing at the minute is different ways for them to make moeny.

When did it become cool to hate the parents of abducted children? :(

It has never been 'cool'. People are just highlighting and quite rightfully the fact that if the McCanns hadn't left their children alone whilst they went out, she wouldn't of been abducted.

It's not cool. I don't hate them. I've just had my fill of them everywhere I look or listen.

To be frank they are pushing their luck with the public seeing as this all happened in the first place. I'm not against them searching for their daughter, god knows, I would. But this consistent media frenzy is grating hard now.

You don't do things like leave little kids alone in a foreign country for a reason. They knew better. Once the horror of the story dies down, they will be remembered for their actions. The longer they drag out the story the better for them. Apparently it doesn't hurt to make a few quid on the side.

If Sarah Payne's grandparents hadn't left her alone then she would still be alive today. Oooh lets round up a hate mob and go harrass them shall we?
