i'm not a huge fan nor regular eater of mcdonalds but i will have one on occassions like today when i'm hungover.
i have just been to my local drive thru, intent on buying one of their special edition 1955 burgers until i saw the calorie count under it, 655 calories! http://www.mcdonalds.co.uk/food/nutrition/nutrition-counter.mcd
it put me off getting it and i went for chicken nuggets instead.
do you think this will make a difference to the more frequent mcdonalds user?

I doubt it, unless people are really quite naive, they'll know what they're eating is high calorie count food. I can't imagine seeing the number on the menu board now instead of just on the boxes and the paper sheets will cause that many people to change their habits.

On the rare occasion I go I get a large chicken nugget meal with a mcflurry and I always assumed it would be far more than the 1000 calories that it comes too. Happy with those figures.

They have displayed it for years and years here already, on all burgers(packaging), on their site, on their eating trays, etc...

It made me eat McD more often, 600 calories is nothing for a burger, you'll be hungry in 3-4 hrs after again, I want food so I've had enough for at least 6 hrs...

I'm suprised it's not mandatory over here yet, when I was in the USA a couple years ago every fast food chain had the calories displayed next to the food.

That 1955 burger is vile too. I got one the other night after seeing Alan Carr live, it was the only time I have actually thrown up from eating something.... disgusting

It's a beef or deep fried chicken burger served with deep-fried potatoes and a sugary soft drink. How could you expect it to anything BUT full of calories? :D

Be interesting to see if it guilts any of the fatties into a salad but I doubt it. It won't put me off, but I only go there occasionally and I know what I'm doing. I sound like a proverbial drug user :p

I had one of the 1955 burgers and a Cheeseburger while I waited for it on Saturday. Hadnt gave it much though but now I see its pretty bad :)

It's actually tastes like it was cooked in 1955 and left to fester.

Seriously, How can they ruin that combo? Beef, caramelised Onions and bacon?

Was the first McDonalds I have had for about 2 years.... I will not be eating one again.

I have had them on 3 occasions now, 1 of them times it was like chewing cardboard and was horrible. The other times I made sure it was made fresh and it was very tasty
