McD's is nowhere near as bad as people make out - one of the reasons they have establishments in most of the key locations in almost every city and country in the world - and their meals have just as much fat/salt and sugar as the average (advertised healthy) sandwiches soaked in mayo and mass produced chemical laden chicken these days. Even a McDs' meal has less fat and calories than an average Subway - but does that place get as bad a press ??
Believe me - if you ever have the misfortune of staying in a town, village / city where the majority food places sell nothing but battered Crickets and insects on street stalls - or raw fish (some still living) - or even rotten cabbage or crab covered in spices to mask the smell (served everywhere as a main dish) - and you see that McD's sign in the distance - it really will seem like Michelin star restaurant once you get that Big mac in your mouth

And since it's something I know more than a little about you can rest assured I shan't be touching McD's or other fast foods, just as I haven't for the past 6-7 years.
